The Naturalist Intelligence: How to Diagnose and Support Naturalist Talented Pupils and Students in Czech Republic

Abstract

The article focuses on one of the natural intelligences of the eight intelligences from Multiple Intelligences Theory by Howard Gardner. There is a brief summary of the features of Natural Intelligence in the article. We could therefore prepare diagnostic material for teachers and parents. The article discusses the position of naturally gifted child in class, school and family. The article expounds on the problems of evaluation and provides advice on the development of correct assessment (such as portfolio assessment). We need after-school activities for developing children with high natural intelligence. The article presents two Czech after-school activities (Sněmu dětí ČR and Projekt Krajina domova). There are nine casuistries (from literature and the author's own research) in the article.
